Thanks Katherine! I started on my story about my AGT 19, Allison....
(sorry the indentations didn't take so I hope you all can read it OK)
"I win!"
Allison Levinson had just raced her best friend Lindsey Bergman home from school on a Tuesday afternoon in early fall. Allison sat down on Lindsey's front steps. She was wearing her rollerblades. Lindsey quickly pulled up on her scooter.
"I let you you win." replied Lindsey.
"You did not! You stopped to play with Mrs. Richardson's golden retriever. You just can't resist a dog, can't you?" said Allison.
"OK, you got me. Wanna come over and do homework later?" said Lindsey.
"Sure, right after Hebrew school. I'll ask my mom if I can bring my laptop over." replied Allison.
"OK. I'll wait for your mom to pick me up in an hour for Hebrew school."
"Cool. See ya later!" said Allison.
Allison skated around to the next block where her house was. She sat on a lawn chair in the garage to pull off her skates, helmet, and wrist guards and threw them in their usual milk crate near the door to the house inside the garage.
"Mom! I'm home!" yelled Allison.
She came into the family room where her six-year-old sister Hallie and the twins were watching cartoons. Kayla and Kyle were two and a half, and they got into EVERYTHING. Allison would sometimes watch them, but only when Mom or her fifteen-year-old sister Courtney was home.
Mom was in the kitchen, on the phone. The kitchen was directly connected to the family room so she could watch the little ones easily. Mom was on the phone a lot, checking messages and returning calls. She was a psychologist and had a private practice, so even though she worked a lot she could set her own hours and sometimes do things like paperwork and return calls from home so she could take care of Allison and her younger siblings.
Allison carried her heavy backpack up to her room. She was thankful that she could spend some time alone before she had to leave for Hebrew school. She shared her room with Hallie. Kayla and Kyle shared the nursery and Courtney was fortunate enough to have her own room, where she had posters of Orlando Bloom and the cast of FRIENDS as well as pictures of her friends and family covering her walls like wallpaper. In fact, Allison couldn't even remember what color Courtney's walls were under the posters.
Allison propped her backpack against her bed while she looked for her Hebrew school workbooks. As soon as she found them she thumbed through the pages to make sure she did all her homework, filling in a few blanks she forgot about.
When she finished, she lie down on her bed and turned on the radio. She paused to look at the photo in a frame on top of her stereo. The photo was of her parents. Her father died suddenly last year and Allison missed him more than anything in the world. It was hard for her mom to take care of her family on her own. Money was always an issue, and although she was a psychologist, even she had trouble coming to terms with Dad's unexpected passing. Allison did too.
"Allison? It's time to go." It was Mom yelling up from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'll be down in a minute!" Allison replied. She frantically dumped her school books outof her backpack onto her bed and tossed in her Hebrew school workbooks and notebook.
As they were walking out to the car, Allison asked, "Mom? Can I bring my laptop over to Lindsey's house after Hebrew school? We're doing homework."
Mom thought a minute, then answered, "Well, OK but make sure to be careful with it. And I'll check to make sure your homework actually gets done this time." She paused a minute to say hi to Lindsey as she climbed into the car.
"Last week you and Lindsey spent the whole time playing computer games and instant messaging. If it's not done you'll have to do your homework at home for awhile. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Mom." Mom added, "Lindsey, I want you to agree, too and I think your mom would agree with me."
"Yes, Mrs. Levinson" replied Lindsey.
All too soon, the car pulled up to Congregation B'Nai Shalom, which was only about 10 minutes from the girls' houses.
"I'll pick you up in an hour and a half, so be outside waiting, please." said Mom.
"OK" both girls replied together.
Allison's and Lindsey's moms took turns driving them every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and Sunday mornings, when Hallie also came along for Sunday school.
Allison and Lindsey knew many of the other kids from their fifth grade class in regular school. When Mrs. Goldberg, the Hebrew teacher came in, she checked everyones homework, went over some new vocabulary words and then did a Hebrew spelling bee for the rest of the time, until it was time to go to the sanctuary for Jewish studies.
The kids in Allison's class only had a couple more years left of Hebrew school before their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Courtney had her Bat Mitzvah two years ago and Lindsey's older brother Ethan had his Bar Mitzvah just last year. Both girls talked a lot about how wonderful their Bat Mitzvahs would be, who they wanted there, what songs and dances would be performed, the delicious food and of course, all the gifts. Even though they knew they wouldn't even get their Torah portions until next year, they still liked to daydream about it.
That's all I have so far...

Your story is really good! I like your idea of having a limited edition being friends with your AGOT.

Thanks everyone for your positive feedback!
Along with this story, I'm working on developing a story about two 12-year-old girls who become unlikely freinds-an Irish Catholic and an Orthodox Jewish girl. I'm doing a little research first. I'd like to create 2 dolls as my 2 characters eventually.

Great story! I also love how you managed to seamlessly integrate an LE character into your own story.
